LeafWiki, without the server.

Same wiki. No Docker, no VPS, no maintenance window. Your content stays in plain Markdown โ€” readable without the app, yours to take anywhere.

Why I'm building this

LeafWiki is a self-hosted tool. That means it's fast, lightweight, and fully under your control โ€” but it also means you need a server, a domain, SSL, and the patience to set it all up and keep it updated.

So I'm building a hosted version. Same wiki, same Markdown on disk, same tree structure. I run the server, you focus on your content.

And if you ever want to leave โ€” your content leaves with you. Plain Markdown, no lock-in.

It's a good fit for solo developers, small teams, and anyone who tried self-hosting and just wants it to work without the maintenance. Probably not the right tool if you need real-time collaboration or manage a large team with complex permissions.

LeafWiki is open source and will stay that way. The hosted version is how I can put more time into the project โ€” every subscriber helps fund continued development.

What's included

  • Everything in LeafWiki โ€” tree navigation, full-text search, Markdown on disk
  • Your data, always: download as ZIP, sync to Git, or sync to S3 โ€” pick what fits
  • Public read-only mode for sharing without accounts
  • SSL included, daily backups โ€” no infrastructure to manage
  • Cancel anytime โ€” plain .md files, no proprietary format, no lock-in
  • Servers hosted in the EU
